2017年5月14日～19日、登田特任教授と湯川特任助教がカナダ、バンフセンターで行われた第９回分裂酵母国際学会に参加しました。学会では湯川博士が口頭発表（Assembly of Mitotic Bipolar Spindle in the Absence of Kinesin-5 Cut7）、登田博士がポスター発表(Towards the in vitro Reconstitution of the Kinetochore-Microtubule Interface)を行いました。また登田博士が研究指導している大学院生で、現在はフランシス・クリック研究所、Paul Nurse博士グループに所属するCorinne Pinder も口頭発表を行いました(Exploring the Mitotic Roles of Kinesin-8 in Fission Yeast）。
